City exploration and Holyrood Park

Writer's picture: Kari GiordanoKari Giordano

Second full day here and not a drop of rain. The sun even poked its head out for a bit as we beat our jet-lag to climb the most gorgeous hills one can expect to see in the center of a city. We made our way to Holyrood Park, a royal park near Edinburgh's Old Town, and chose to take the easier route saving Arthur's Seat for a less windy day. As it was, the kids' body weight vs. the wind at the top of the basalt cliffs was not the most comfortable match.

I am really enjoying these first days of tourism but look forward to getting to work on Monday as the Fulbright orientation begins.
